FPT Play Sport

Lead Product Owner, June 2019 - Present

FPT Play Sport was a project I was deeply excited about as I began shaping it from the ground up. Through analyzing user data and their behavior, I discovered that 80% of paid users were primarily drawn to sports content, such as the English Premier League and Serie A. Additionally, there was a significant number of free users who showed strong interest in free-broadcast matches and Vietnam's National Football League (V-League). On top of that, interactive TV games for sports presented a relatively untapped opportunity. These promising insights led to the launch of FPT Play Sport, a dedicated segment of FPT Play. It was also my first time working with Lottiefiles and Bodymovin' to integrate UI animations into the design.

However, the project faced challenges due to the massive database and limited resources of dev squad, which caused delays in adhering to the original plan. But these obstacles weren't entirely setbacks - they gave us the necessary time to refine the gamification of sports content, ensuring it became more cohesive, logical, and distinct from versus-related mechanics. To maintain consistency, I initially released only a small set of features to synchronize with existing content. Moving forward, the focus will shift to rolling out community features, fan bases, and “cheer” functions, which are prioritized for future updates.
